Why Volunteer with CCG?
Volunteers are the lifeblood of Crookston Community Group. This year, our 70+ dedicated volunteers contributed an extraordinary 44,460 hours of their time — making a measurable, tangible impact across every service we provide.
Many of our volunteers are former service users who have gone on to become powerful advocates for their community. Volunteering at CCG is not just about giving — it's about growing, connecting, and becoming part of something that truly matters.

Many also play an active role in setting up and preparing our community hubs. Currently, over 10 participants take part each week, working in different shifts.
VIP participants receive:
- ✓ Monthly bus pass
- ✓ Lunch during their shifts
- ✓ A support letter for future opportunities
- ✓ Access to additional CCG services and facilities
"A local woman joined CCG as a Community Payback volunteer after leaving work due to mental health challenges and financial hardship. Despite having no prior experience, she quickly grew in confidence and stability through her role. Volunteering gave her purpose, reduced isolation, and sparked an interest in cooking and learning new skills. Her story reflects how volunteering at CCG can transform lives — offering support, inclusion, and hope for a better future."
