Second Chances, Real Change
Since 2021, Crookston Community Group has played a vital role in supporting individuals serving Community Payback Orders (CPOs) — offering meaningful placements that go far beyond just fulfilling an obligation. We believe in the power of community as a catalyst for real, lasting change.
Through CCG's Community Payback Scheme, participants contribute to a range of important initiatives while gaining practical experience, building confidence, and developing skills that genuinely improve their future prospects.

Meaningful Work, Real Skills
Participants contribute to a wide range of CCG's community initiatives, all of which make a genuine difference to local residents and to the smooth running of our services. Activities include:
- Daily operations of our food bank and community pantry
- Preparing and packing emergency food parcels
- Maintenance and upkeep of community spaces and hubs
- Warehouse tasks including stock sorting and logistics
- Supporting setup and preparation of new premises
- Contributing to community outreach and events

How Referrals Work
Individuals are referred to CCG's Community Payback Scheme through the Scottish criminal justice Social Work system as part of their Community Payback Order. If you are a Social Work professional or justice agency interested in referring individuals to CCG, please get in touch with our team to discuss placements and availability.
