Lady X was referred by one of our partners

This 62 year lady came to CCG today looking for help as she had not one item of food in her cupboards.

She explained that due to a benefit change universal Credit she had to wait weeks for any money. Lady X is living without heating and although her daughter helps her she doesn’t want to ask her for anymore assistance. She is very grateful for the help and although her pride has taken a dent she has to accept having no other choice.

She explained that she can’t have her grandson as apart from not having food her house is too cold.

Lady X volunteers with a group based in the Pollok area and have worked up until couple years ago. She will hopefully get back into work but she doesn’t seem very hopeful.

We will continue to support her with food and any other services she needs.
